We use anonymous session cookies (short-term cookies that disappear when you close your browser) to help you navigate the website and make the most of the features. If you log into the website, application or a course as a registered user, your session cookie will also contain your user ID so that we can check which services you are allowed to access.

Information collection and use
How do we collect information?
Pet Funeral Services collects information in two possible ways:
- When you directly give it to us (“Directly Provided Data”)
When you sign up for our site, purchase our products or communicate with us, you may choose to voluntarily give us certain information – for example, by filling in contact forms. All this information requires a direct action by you at that time in order for us to receive it.
- When you give us permission to obtain from other accounts and third party data processors (“User Authorised Data”)
Depending on your settings or the privacy policies for other online services, you may give us permission to obtain information from your account with those other services. For example, this can be via google analytics, social media, cookies or by choosing to send us your location data when accessing our website from your smartphone. Please see section below on cookies and third party data processors.
How long do we keep your data for?
Pet Funeral Services will not retain your personal information longer than necessary. We will hold onto the information you provide either while your account is in existence, or as needed to be able to provide the Services to you, or (in the case of any contact you may have with our Sales, Customer Care or Support teams) for as long as is necessary to provide support-related reporting and trend analysis only.
If legally required or if it is reasonably necessary to meet regulatory requirements, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and abuse, or enforce our Terms and Conditions, we may also retain some of your information for a limited period of time as required, even after you have closed your account or it is no longer needed to provide the services to you.
What data we collect:
We may collect the following information:
- Contact information including email address
- Demographic information such as postcode, preferences and interests
WHAT WE DO WITH THE INFORMATION WE GATHER:
We require this information to understand your needs and provide you with a better service, and in particular for the following reasons:
- Internal record keeping
- We may periodically send promotional emails about new products, special offers or other information which we think you may find interesting using the email address which you have provided.
Pet Funeral Services will not sell or rent your personally identifiable information, gathered as a result of filling out the site registration form, to anyone.
Choosing how we use your data
We understand that you trust us with your personal information and we are committed to ensuring you can manage the privacy and security of your personal information yourself.
With respect to the information relating to you that ends up in our possession, and recognising that it is your choice to provide us with your personally identifiable information, we commit to giving you the ability to do all of the following:
- You can verify the details you have submitted to Pet Funeral Services by emailing [email protected] or calling 01352 710500 during office hours.
- Our security procedures mean that we may request proof of identity before we reveal information, including your e-mail address and possibly your address.

Please note though that, if you have shared any information with others through social media channels, that information may remain visible, even if your account is deleted.
- You can always feel free to update us on your details at any point by emailing [email protected] or calling 01352 710500 during office hours.

TRACKING SITE VISITS
Like most websites, this site uses Google Analytics (GA) to track user interaction. We use this data to determine the number of people using our site, to better understand how they find and use our web pages and to see their journey through the website.
Although GA records data such as your geographical location, device, internet browser and operating system, none of this information personally identifies you to us. GA also records your computer’s IP address which could be used to personally identify you, but Google do not grant us access to this. We consider Google to be a third-party data processor.
Disabling cookies on your internet browser will stop Goggle Analytics from tracking any part of your visit to pages within this website.
CONTACT FORMS AND EMAIL LINKS
Should you choose to contact us using the contact form on our contact us page or an email link, none of the data that you supply will be stored by this website or passed to / be processed by any third party data processor.
Instead the data will be collated into an email and sent to us over the Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP). Our SMTP servers are protected by TLS (sometimes known as SSL) meaning that the email content is encrypted using SHA-2, 256-bit cryptography before being sent across the internet. The email content is then decrypted by our local computers and devices.
We also hold details on our computers relating to the information you provide us with on our contact forms or email links. We do this in order to reply to your enquiry.
If you do not want us to keep any of your details on file please advise us.
We do not exchange, sell, rent or give away your email address or any other details to other companies.
If you are signed up to our email newsletter, your email address is forwarded to MailChimp who provide us with email marketing services. We consider MailChimp to be a third party data processor. The email address that you submit will not be stored within this web.
THIRD PARTY DATA PROCESSORS
We use a number of third parties to process personal data on our behalf. These third parties have been carefully chosen. Both of these third parties are based in the USA and are EU-U.S Privacy Shield compliant.
We will report any unlawful data breach of this website’s database or the database(s) of any of our third party data processors to any and all relevant persons and authorities within 72 hours of the breach if it is apparent that personal data stored in an identifiable manner has been stolen.
The data controller of this website is: Pet Funeral Services
Please note, we are constantly reviewing how we process and protect data. Therefore, changes to our policy may occur at any time. We will endeavour to publicise any changes.
