It was an honour to meet the Police Service dog, the fabulous Finn, who has been instrumental in campaigning to change the law for the protection of service dogs (Finn's Law).
The NMWDM Team met Finn at Pupaid in Primrose Hill. He was there with his owner to inform people of the importance of Finn's Law which aims to provide all service animals with the protection from harm that they deserve. The campaign to secure protection for our amazing animals has grown in strength and has now passed through the 2nd Reading at parliament.
Finn himself was repeatedly stabbed in the chest during an attempted arrest. He survived after hours of life saving surgery but the assailant was never bought to justice as it is not yet a criminal offence to bring harm to an animal.
